Fishing boat hire near Amsterdam: on the Westeinderplassen in 25 minutes

No fishing boats for hire in Amsterdam itself? From the A10 you're at our jetty in Aalsmeer in 25 minutes, with free parking and an aluminium fishing boat that needs no licence on the Westeinderplassen.

The nearest big predator water

Inside the Amsterdam ring road you can fish from the bank, but hiring a fishing boat for a day on big water isn't an option. The Westeinderplassen near Aalsmeer are the nearest alternative: over a thousand hectares of lake with islands, reed beds and channels full of pike, perch and zander β€” and our jetty is right on it.

Route and parking

From Amsterdam-Zuid or West take the A10 and the N201 towards Aalsmeer; from the A10 you reach Oosteinderweg 75 in about 25 minutes. From Amstelveen it's a quarter of an hour. You park for free at the jetty (one car per boat), load your gear and get a briefing on the boat. By public transport: bus towards Aalsmeer and a short walk β€” ask us for the handiest stop.

What you hire

  • A stable aluminium fishing boat with a quiet outboard, room for two or three anglers.
  • €150 per day from 09:00 to 17:00, including fuel, life jackets and a chart.
  • No boat licence needed (18+), no deposit.

Bring your own rods, bait and a valid VISpas. No pass yet? Read buying a VISpas.

Why not the IJ or the Amstel?

On the IJ and the big canals around Amsterdam commercial shipping rules and you need a bigger, faster vessel. The Westeinderplassen are recreational water: quiet in autumn and winter, shelter everywhere and no licence needed. Read more about the water in our guide to fishing the Westeinderplassen.
