Out on the water together
Fishing is fun, fishing together is more fun — especially when you make it a competition. At Varen & Vissen you hire several aluminium fishing boats at once, so friends, family or colleagues head onto the Westeinderplassen from the same jetty at the same time. Each boat fishes best with two or three people; with four or five boats you're on the water with a group of ten to fifteen anglers.
What a fishing day looks like
- 09:00 — board at the Oosteinderweg, coffee, briefing on the boats and the rules of the game.
- 09:15 — everyone picks their own corner of the lake. Share catches (photo with tape measure) in a group chat and keep score.
- 13:00 — lunch at the jetty or on board; anyone who wants to swaps boats or spots.
- 17:00 — back in, prizes for the biggest pike, the most perch and the best blunder.
A fishing boat costs €150 per day (09:00–17:00), fuel included.
A company outing with a difference
A fishing day works well as a team outing: it's outdoors, it's quiet, everyone has something to do and there's plenty to talk about. Colleagues who have never fished pick it up quickly — a simple drop-shot rod for perch is doable for everyone. We help with dividing the boats and give tips on spots and lures beforehand. Practical
- Everyone who fishes needs their own VISpas; a day or week pass can be arranged online.
- No boat licence needed, but the person driving must be 18+.
- Fuel, life jackets and chart are included; bring your own rods and bait.
- Free parking, one car per boat — car-pooling helps with bigger groups.
